We hope you and your family are going well during these challenging times. We would like to share a few things about the current situation. We realize that some of you may not have signed up yet to be a part of Sutton Little League but during this difficult situation we want to share our resources, knowledge and hope for all of the Sutton baseball community.
1) As part of the Little League family, Little League International has access to both the CDC and WHO. On a call late last week, Little League International expressed optimism that our Spring season(April-June) would be bumped and become more of a Summer season (June-August). This is still a fluid situation but we are hopeful to be playing baseball at some time in the near future. More info to come as we are informed by Little League International.
2) Baseball development comes from practice/proper repetition. Our goal as an organization during each session is for a player to get a minimum of 100+ swings, throws (catching and receiving), ground balls/fly balls etc. While this can't be done right now in a group/team setting it can still be completed on an individual basis. Our coaches will be sharing baseball activities each week on our website that your player can do at home. Please feel free to visit our website www.suttonlittleleague.org
each week for these great baseball activities and click on the Coach's Corner tab.
3) Please do not hesitate to reach out to any member of the Sutton Little League Board no matter your age or league affiliation if you have a question regarding youth baseball training. We have some of the best, most experienced coaches in the area and we are here to support the entire Sutton baseball community during these trying times.
Stay safe & healthy to all!
